Can I transfer my templates from HG 5 to this or do have spend hours starting all over?
With most of my auto comments I include a diagram....Are there plans to allow for diagrams to be included with auotcomments?
Also, is there a way to create a master list in one Web Writer that is tied to other Web Writer users so we do not have to completely duplicate all of the comments (like was possible in HHZ). And, is there a way that two people can be working in the same report, i.e., multiple inspectors on a large home.
Can’t delete reports. Can’t add or change systems.
Stephen,
You can not adjust the order of description items or systems at this time. That is something that has been raised by multiple inspectors using the Web Writer and something we hope to implement. I can attach you to that raised issue as well so if there is any progress on that you will be notified.
Thank you for the feedback!
Being a HomeHubZone user, Web Writer is an attempt at recreating HHZ, but it is not as user friendly and field use is cumbersome. I tried to place a photo for a concern and several other photos got posted as well. How do I remove photos from a concern that are not applicable. Any assistance would be appreciated since they are closing HHZ down 2 weeks earlier than promised.
Can we move items around, different orders?
Was there a reason that you did not start with HHZ and just add additional functionality? Instead, we are forced to use Web Writer that seems far from prime time and doesn't have the functionality or smoothness of HHZ. It is very slow at updating fields and doesn't have the customization that was allowed under HHZ. Also, what happens if I am in a basement and Web Writer looses internet connection?
Hardly an alternative to HHZ, not even close.
My clients and their contractors loved my HHZ reports because my pictures clearly showed the location of the defect. Using this report writer my pictures are crop, sometimes blurry and I cannot edit. Without descriptive pictures I have to make each concern specific to the home, room and event. Concerns can no longer be generic without descriptive pictures.
This report writer is extremely cumbersome and time consuming and that is being generous.
HHZ allowed me to make my reports my own.
My only alternative is to look for a "Home Inspector Friendly" report writer or create one. I have been approached by other users who want to invest and develop a HHZ clone type report writer. I don't have the time for that but may be my only alternative.
Can you get a PDF copy of the report from the web writer?
I am only 20 minutes into looking at the web writer beta version, but I am loving it! Well done Homegauge team!
I cant change my report format this late in my career. My realtors and inspectors have already threatened to riot if the order, summary and style of the fininshed product is changed. I really want to use Web Witrer but at this time it would be like changeing the final product , not just the way I write it. I'm waiting for the product to be flexible like the desktop is. Fingers crossed.
Rod,
As of today the PDF conversion of HTML reports is still being worked on. An HTML report can still be printed or saved as a PDF from the web-browser but the formatting is not ideal. I will add you to a ticket to notify you via email when that functionality is up and running.
Thank you
