Your privacy and data security are our top priority at HomeGauge. We are committed to providing you with the best online experience and ensuring that your sensitive information is protected from potential threats. To maintain the highest level of security, it is essential to use the latest operating systems and Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols. Your private information may not be as secure if you are not using the most recent version of Windows, Mac OS, Android, or iOS, as older operating systems lack the latest security features to keep your information safe when using the internet.
Why Upgrading Matters
If you're not using the most recent version of Windows, Mac OS, Android, or iOS, your private information might not be as secure as it could be. Older operating systems lack the latest security features that are essential for safeguarding your data when you're browsing the internet. These systems often use outdated versions of TLS protocols, which play a crucial role in preventing fraud by establishing secure communications on the web.
Does This Affect You?
To make sure your system supports TLS 1.2 and HomeGauge you may need to do one or more of the following:
Note: TLS 1.2 isn't supported on Android ≤ 4 or iOS ≤ 4
Note: Windows Vista and earlier does not support TLS 1.2. By default TLS 1.2 is not enabled on Windows 7, but it does support it and you can enable it using these instructions. For a full list of support please click here.
- Upgrade your companion devices to the latest version of Android or iOS available
- Update your Windows operating system – to the latest version for your computer
- Update your web browser to the latest version: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari
- Enable TLS 1.2 in the current version of your browser
