To receive access to beta versions of the HomeGauge Companion for Android you will need to follow a few steps to enable beta testing on your device via the Google Play Store.
Joining a public beta test
Important: To get access to the beta version of the HomeGauge Companion, the app must already be installed on your device before following the steps below.
- Open the Play Store

- At the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Tap Manage apps & devices
Installed.
- Tap an app to open its detail page.
- Under “Join the beta,” tap Join
Tip: If you can’t find “Join the beta,” that means we're not offering a public beta for the app at this time. Keep an eye on our Community Forum for announcements about beta testing opportunities.
Leaving a beta test
If you want to opt out of a beta test, follow the steps below:
- Open the Play Store
- At the top right, tap the profile icon.
- Tap Manage apps & devices
- Find HomeGauge Companion in the list.
- Tap HomeGauge Companion to open its detail page.
- Under "You're a beta tester," tap Leave
- WARNING: If you decide to leave, you may need to uninstall the beta app and reinstall the public version. If you uninstall the app, you will lose any data currently on the app, including Reports and Templates. Make sure all information you want to re-download is saved on your cloud.
