We are thrilled to introduce the latest update to Desktop Report Writer, bringing a host of new features and improvements that enhance your report writing experience. This release focuses on streamlining the publishing process and improving user navigation. Here are the key highlights of this release:

Enhancement: Streamlined Publishing Process

• • Transformation of Upload Button: The 'Upload' button has been transformed into the 'Publish' button, making it more intuitive for users to publish their reports.

  • Introduction of 'Publish Options': After clicking the 'Publish' button, users are now seamlessly directed to the 'Publish Options' screen, replacing the previous 'Print Options' and 'Print Document Settings.'

  • New Buttons in Publish Settings: The 'Publish Settings' now includes two new buttons: 'Upload' and 'Print,' allowing you to initiate these actions directly from this screen.

  • Enhanced Preview Functionality: Upon clicking 'Upload' or 'Print,' users will be taken to the preview screen. Here, you will find four options: 'Upload' (or 'Print,' depending on your selection), 'Options,' 'Cancel,' and 'Help.' The new 'Options' button allows you to configure settings and easily return to 'Publish Options.'

  • Introduction of the 'Preview' Button: We have added a brand-new 'Preview' button to provide you with a quick way to review your report before publishing it.

  • Direct Upload Preview: Clicking the 'Preview' button will open an upload preview, using saved or default publish options, styles, and formats, bypassing 'Publish Options.'

  • Improved Upload Preview: The Upload Preview now features four options: 'Upload,' 'Options,' 'Cancel,' and 'Help.' The 'Options' button allows you to modify settings and seamlessly return to 'Publish Options.'

  • Reduced Prompts: To help Inspectors save time during the upload process, we removed the prompt to add a username for both REP and Customer.

Issue Resolved: "Invalid Parameter" Error Fixed

In the previous version, some users experienced an "Invalid Parameter" error when attempting to perform the following actions:

1. Copying and Pasting Sketches: Users can now copy and paste sketches without encountering the "Invalid Parameter" error. This will streamline your workflow and make it easier to work with sketches in your reports.

2. Adding New Summaries: We have resolved the issue that was causing the "Invalid Parameter" error when adding new summaries to your reports. You can now add summaries without any interruptions.
