ScheduleNow Customization allows for the addition of custom fields to HomeGauge’s ScheduleNow, which enables inspectors to collect information from REPs and HomeBuyers without needing to contact them after the appointment has been scheduled.

Beta Quick Look: What to Expect
- Hide Default Fields: You can now hide default fields, such as the “Property Occupied” checkbox, on ScheduleNow.
- Field Reordering: Arrange default and custom fields using drag-and-drop, allowing customization of display order.
- Note: The "Property Occupied" field cannot be reordered and will always appear below the address field.
- Internal Fields: Custom fields can be marked as "Internal," making them visible only to inspectors on the Inspector Dashboard and hidden from HomeBuyers or REPs.
- Printed Appointments: Custom field responses will now appear on printed appointment details.
- Replacement Variables: Use custom field data as replacement variables in appointment notifications, enhancing communication accuracy.
Adding a Custom Field

In the Appointments section of the Side Menu, go to ScheduleNow Settings

Under Additional Property Details, select Customize Property Detail Fields.

In the Customize Property Detail Fields window, click Add Field to create a new field.

Enter the Title, select the Type (see below), and add any relevant details.
- Field Types:
- Text Field: Accepts up to 125 characters.
- Text Area: Accepts up to 225 characters.
- Number Field: Accepts up to 10 numeric digits.
- Date: Accepts date entries.

Required and Visible Options:
- Required Field: Selecting this checkbox makes the field mandatory, preventing submission without input.
- Visible: This option toggles the field’s display in ScheduleNow. Uncheck it to hide the field temporarily or seasonally.
- Internal: Fields are displayed at the bottom of the Custom Fields page and can be used when you are scheduling appointments through the Inspector Dashboard.

Click Add to save the custom field.
Managing Custom Fields
Editing a field will not change any information in past appointments.
Deleted Fields cannot be recovered, however, deleting a custom field will not remove any information associated with a past appointment
- Click Edit to make changes to an existing field.
- Click Delete to remove the field.
Reordering Fields
- Default and custom fields can be reordered according to inspector preference. Drag-and-drop icons are provided for easy adjustment:
- Note: The “Property Occupied” field cannot be moved from its set position below the address.
Default Fields
Default fields, built into ScheduleNow, cannot be edited or deleted but can be hidden from ScheduleNow if desired. These fields will still appear on the Inspector Dashboard.
Custom Field Replacement Variables
Custom fields are now available as replacement variables for appointment notifications, enabling inspectors to include custom field data in communications.
- To view available custom field variables, scroll to the bottom of the Replacement Variables list
- Use custom field variables like any other replacement variable for appointment notifications.
- If a custom field is deleted, the associated replacement variable will be removed from the available list but remain in appointment notification templates until manually removed by the inspector.
Viewing Custom Field Responses
Responses from custom fields will populate in the Inspector Comments section of the appointment.
