Add a Styles & Materials Item
- Navigate to the Styles & Materials component section you would like to add to (ex: Exterior or Rooms).
- Click Add T in the icon bar near the top of the screen.
- Give a name to the new Styles & Material category.
- Enter under Label The Extra Data As a unique label or identifier (ex: Model #) or leave blank.
- Choose to Exclude By Default if you would like this option to be excluded on every report by default.
- Lastly Click Select to choose the Inspection Parent Item. This will display the Style and Material option under the chosen Parent Item in the report. This only applies to certain Print Formats.
- Click OK.
- Click Save T or FileSave Template to save your changes
Quick Add a new Material Option
There is a way to quickly create a new material option in the style and materials tab.
- Click on the Style and Material you want to add a new material option.
- Type the new option in the text field.
- Click + button on the right to add to the list.
- Click Save T to save the change to the template.
Quick edit a Material Option
There is a quick way to edit the material options by using the right side toolbar. This doesn't edit the Style and Material on the left column.
- Select the Material Option you want to edit.
- Click the Wrench button to make changes to the name, or add an auto comment.
- Click X to delete the material option.
- Click Up or Down buttons to change the material option in the list.
- Click Save T to save the changes to your template.
Edit a Styles & Materials Item
- Click to highlight the Style & Material item you would like to edit.
- Click Edit T in the icon bar near the top of the screen.
- Make changes to the Style & Material.
Options include:- Change Name
- Add a New Option
- Change the Specific Data Label
- Exclude or Un-Exclude by Default
- Modify the Inspection Item Parent
- Click Save T or FileSave Template to save your changes.
Delete a Styles & Materials Item
Note: When you delete a Styles & Materials Item, all the options for that item are deleted as well. If you only want to edit an option, read below.
- Click to highlight the Style & Material item you would like to delete.
- Click Delete T in the icon bar near the top of the screen.
- Click YES to confirm deletion.
- Click Save T or FileSave Template to save your changes.
Add, Edit, or Delete a Styles & Materials Options
You can also add, edit or delete Material Options while editing Styles & Materials. This takes longer than using the quick option.
- Click to highlight the Style & Material item that contains the options you want to add, edit, or delete.
- Click Edit T in the icon bar near the top of the screen.
- TO ADD, click the orange plus (+) icon to the right. Give it a name and click OK.
- TO EDIT, click to highlight the option you would like to edit, then click the wrench icon to the right. Make changes then click OK.
- TO DELETE, click to highlight the option you would like to delete, then click the red X to the right. Click OK.
- After your changes, click Save T or FileSave Template.
Add an Auto-Comment to Report Based on Style & Material Choice
- Follow the steps above to Edit a Styles & Materials Option.
- During editing, click Modify Auto Comments List. This brings up a list of associated Auto-Comments
- If the Auto-Comment you want is shown, click it and then click OK, then skip to step 7 below. Otherwise, continue with step 4
- Click the orange plus (+) near the top of the window
- Find and click the desired Auto-Comment in the Global List.
- Click OK to select the comment and exit the Global List.
- Click OK to exit the Style & Material Option window.
- Click OK to exit the Style & Material Edit window.
- After your changes, click Save T or FileSave Template
Change the Title of Styles & Materials
NOTE: Changes to the Styles & Materials title affects all templates
- From the top-level menu, click FilePrinting Options.
- Click the Misc tab near the top of the window.
- Look for a box called Styles & Materials Title Text. Edit the text to give Styles & Materials a new title.
- Click OK.
- Click Save T or FileSave Template to save your changes.
