If you receive an error message when trying to open a report that says "The following tags were not closed" (see example below), follow the steps below:
Check and see if HomeGauge is running in the background somewhere on your computer.
- Exit the HomeGauge software if it is open.
- Press Control-Alt-Delete
- Run Task Manager
- End all HomeGauge tasks that may be running.
- Open HG again and try to open the report.

Note: In many cases, this error occurs when the device used to write the report was low or out of storage when the report was saved. Be sure to check your computer or Companion's free space and free up more as necessary to avoid the issue.
