If you have HomeGauge build your website or web page, one crucial step is to point your nameservers to us so we can host your site. This ensures your website will be linked to your domain name and allows us to manage your Domain Name System (DNS).
You'll need to follow the detailed instructions for your domain registrar to point your nameservers. If you do not see your registrar listed below, please get in touch with our Web Team at 828-254-2030 option 2 or via email at webteam@homegauge.com.
GoDaddy
- Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portal
- Select the domain you want to update
- Select DNS then select Nameservers from the action menu (you may need to select the More menu and scroll down to see nameservers)
- Choose I'll use my own nameservers (advanced)
- Enter these nameservers:

dns2.stabletransit.com

7. Select Save then Continue to complete the updates
Note: You'll need to verify your identity if you have domain protection on your domain. GoDaddy will send a verification code automatically if you've enabled 2-step verification (2SV) in your account for more than 72 hours. Otherwise, select Send Password, and they'll send a one-time password to your registered email address.
Squarespace Domains
- Open your Squarespace domains dashboard
- Click your domain name
- Click DNS, then click Domain Nameservers
- Click Use Custom Nameservers
- Click Continue when prompted to disable DNSSEC
- In the “Nameservers” fields, enter:

6. Click Save
Note: It can take up to 72 hours for the nameservers to fully propagate
7. Click Continue when prompted to disable DNSSEC
NameCheap
- Log in to your Namecheap account
- On the left sidebar, click Domain List and then click the Manage button next to your domain
- In the Nameservers section, select CustomDNS
- In the custom nameservers fields, enter:

- dns2.stabletransit.com

- Click the green checkmark to save the change
Note: Nameservers may take up to 24 hours for local ISPs to update their DNS caches so that everyone can see your website.
Hostgator

- Log in to your Customer Portal
- On the Dashboard, click Domains from the left-side menu
- Click your domain name
- Scroll down to the Advanced Tools section to find your nameservers
- Under Nameservers, click the Manage link to update your name servers.
- Click Continue on the popup screen

Enter these nameservers:
- dns1.stabletransit.com
- dns2.stabletransit.com
- Click Save
Most DNS updates take effect within an hour but could take up to 48 hours to update globally.
