We are thrilled to announce the release of our new feature, Multiple Inspection Templates, in Web Writer! This exciting update allows you to create and manage multiple templates to optimize your inspection process for improved efficiency and flexibility. Here's what you need to know:

Key Features and Enhancements:

  1. Create & Manage Multiple Templates: You can now customize and handle multiple inspection templates tailored to your specific requirements. Personalize layouts, items, and locations to perform precise and accurate inspections.

  2. Easily Build Derivative Templates: Building on existing templates has never been simpler. Our user-friendly interface allows you to easily create derivative templates, ensuring consistency while adapting to unique inspection needs.

  3. Simple Template Management: Take full control of your template library effortlessly. Rename templates, set or change default templates, and easily delete unwanted templates. We've prioritized organization and flexibility.

How to Access the Multiple Inspection Template Feature:

  1. Log in to your Web Writer account using any web browser.

  2. Go to the Templates section, where you'll find new customization options.

  3. Create new templates from scratch, make quick modifications by copying existing ones, and manage your entire template list seamlessly.

Selecting Templates for Inspections:

  1. When creating a new inspection, you can now choose the desired template from the available options.

  2. Alternatively, you can streamline your workflow by setting a default template for future inspections.

Add Comment & Disclaimer Workflow Improvements

  1. Item Management: Now, when you access an item without any Disclaimers, Comments, or Descriptions, you will immediately notice a relevant "Add" option in the respective placeholder area. This allows you to seamlessly add the necessary content to the item, streamlining the inspection process.

  2. Simplified Addition: Clicking the "Add" option will open a convenient text field where you can input the desired content for the specific section. Once you have finished adding the content, simply click "Done" to save the changes.

  3. Recreate Deleted Comments: You may have encountered an issue where you couldn't add a new comment if it matched your deleted comment. We removed that barrier for inspectors to ensure you can move about your inspection without worrying about altering your comment language.

Bugs Resolved:

  • We fixed the previous/back button behavior to clear Item Details inputs when navigating between items of the same type. You no longer need to return to Systems to prevent duplicated information in Item Details.

  • The table of contents was not scrolling properly on for some users. The table of contents was not recognizing the extra space that was being used by something like a side task bar or the new Bing sidebar in Microsoft Edge.
