Hey guys! This is caused by a recent change in some Samsung devices to change their battery optimization. Try these steps and it should prevent these issues: https://support.homegauge.com/hc/en-us/articles/360062096754-Android-11-Battery-Optimization-and-Samsung-Sleeping-Apps

Let me know if it helps or if it doesn't!

I had the same issue this week on an inspection, I am using an iPhone 11 and this was the only time it has happened.

Well I'm glad it's not just Android, I'd hate to buy another phone already. My fix has been to click save after every couple of entries but that's frustrating

I have been doing the same, but it seems like it should be doing that on its own with the auto save.

were you able to recover the inspection details, or did you have to repeat the inspection?

I lose my info, usually happens toward the beginning of the report, so I don't typically loose an entire report.

I to upgraded from an S10 to an S21.I never had any problems with the S10.

But with the S21, and forcing me to update to the latest version of Companion, I have not lost everything Yet; BUT after taking a photo and clicking OK it randomly closes the report and takes me back to Companion's home page. This will happen several times in a row and then I can take 20 photos with no problem, only to have it happen again. This is getting old very quick. After reading reviews at Play Store I see that dozens of other inspectors have had the same problem with camera crashing for over a year now.

Chris follow the link above posted by Tyler. I did and haven't had the issue since

Thanks Steve! I did follow that link but I was not able to determine Exactly what to do. The link is for an older version Android 11, I'm on 12. You probable are too. So the screen shots are not quite the same. The conclusion I came to was not limit battery use and ensure HG was never asleep.
