Changing Definitions - 'Not working', 'Safety Hazard', 'Poor, Marginal', 'Satisfactory', 'Not inspected'
Call me paranoid, or what you want.. but I prefer not to say ANY component is 'Satisfactory'. Unless I find something wrong with the component, I strongly prefer to not say anything about it, and have it read 'No comment' rather than 'Satisfactory' or 'Not tested'. HomeHubZone allowed us to change the definitions 'Not working', 'Safety Hazard', 'Poor, Marginal', 'Satisfactory', 'Not inspected'. I of course changed the system components default from 'Not Tested' to 'No comment' because I feel like it reduces my liability a little bit.
To me, saying something is 'Satisfactory' and being wrong, is worse than not having a comment about it, when you should have caught an issue.
Is this possible to do in Web Writer (Beta)?
Please let me know if I'm not making sense.

In all honesty, if HG can't do this, it's probably a deal breaker for me, and I'll have to find a software program that can.

Home Gauge? Hello, any response? Is this possible?

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for posting this topic in the forum. We do not have a way to change the status definitions in Web Writer as this time. As you mentioned, the Web Writer is still in Beta which means we are trying to take in all the feedback we can in order to determine a path forward. The use case you provided is something that we are evaluating and hope to get in front of an Inspector advisory board in the near future. I am hopeful that other inspectors will reply to this post with their thoughts as well.0 -
So to confirm, if there is no issue with the component, we have to have it be either 'Not tested' or 'Satisfactory', correct?
If so, what a pity; then I must purchase another software program.

Two other options you may want to consider are:
- Mark the item as N/A which removes it from the report. A disclaimer could be left at the system level indicating what was tested but no comments will be left.
Or - Create a new comment with the out of the box status of "Compliment" and set the description "No comment". This is how it will display:
0 - Mark the item as N/A which removes it from the report. A disclaimer could be left at the system level indicating what was tested but no comments will be left.

I'd rather have each item listed in the report so that customers can realize how many different things we are inspecting, but perhaps I just mark them all as N/A until you guys can create this feature. (I don't want the green check either, that's about as bad as listing it Satisfactory)
Thanks

Caitlin; I posted this somewhere, but want to repost: Want to be able to change the subtitles in the Summary section. In HHZ, those could be changed. I changed "Major Concerns" to "Important".
