HG Software performance
Suddenly my HG software shows an hourglass for a considerable amount of time between tasks or when selecting or modifying template dropdown menus. Any ideas on what is happening? The laptop is new and this has just developed.

Hey Michael,
I apologize for the late response, I'm working on getting notified of any new posts and this one slipped through.
I did check your previous tickets and saw you worked with a support agent, but to shed a little more light, we believe this was caused by a recent windows update. I've been digging through their latest update trying to find out what changed in how windows searches through files, which would cause the delays within a template. Either way, we are working with our desktop developer to figure out what we can do on our end. I'll keep you updated once we get it sorted out.

I just updated to 5.4 and am having the same issue. It's happening in both Windows 10 and 11
I've never had this issue before now.

Hi Les,
We've been keeping an eye on this issue. It seems to be only affecting certain Intel GPUs, namely the Iris series. There are a few GPUs that fall under the Iris blanket, and as of two weeks ago, Intel has been sending out driver updates via Windows updates to fix this issue. It looks as though the Iris XE has gotten the new driver (which has fixed the issue), but the R and the Plus models have not gotten that update quite yet. In the mean time, make sure to check for windows updates via your system settings when you get a chance. This is where those drivers should pop up for installation.

I have the Iris XE and have everything up to date that's available. But still have the issue. I am wondering if it's still in the process of coming out? I went to Intel's site and got the latest driver. But it still says Aug 20, 2021. So I am guessing that's the case?
Once I see an update ill check to see if it's been fixed
