Adding a Space Between Itemized Comments
I've gotten my reports to look almost exactly the way I want them to look except for one thing. The itemized comments are too close together. I can't even show an example of what I'm talking about on this forum because the text editor automatically double spaces when you hit the enter key to start what it thinks is a new paragraph. What it will do, however, is show you what I want my report to look like....
(1)The clamp that connects the ground wire to the ground rod is the incorrect type. It should
be a clamp that is listed and approved for a ground rod, such as an acorn clamp.
(2)There is no antioxidant paste on the aluminum service entrance wires where they connect
to the main breaker and the neutral bus.
That's the way I want it to look but that's not the way it looks on the report. How do I get that space between the end of comment (1) and the beginning of comment (2)? In my reports the two comments would be crammed together with no space between them and it makes it look like one large comment.
(By the way, I just picked those two comments at random and these two particular comments would usually have a picture with them and so the picture would be separating these two comments anyway but just pretend that this isn't the case for the sake of my question.)

Hi Clete, If you click on multiple items and insert as one comment they will have the space you want. If you insert them individually, they will be crammed together like you said. Sometimes it makes sense to cram them together and other times no. Of course you can also insert as itemized comments for separation. I see your comment is 2 months old so you probably already figured this out!

Hello Steve,
As it turns out, there actually was a problem with the Texas template which they have now fixed and made it so that there is a line space between comments.
I’m sort of blown away by the lengths the support team at HG went to in order to address the problem.
I’m pretty sure that they made a permanent change to the Texas template and so if you’re using that template and don’t want to have to do anything unusual in order to get the line spacing correct then all you should need to do is replace your current template with the revised version. That would, however, require you to copy all your auto comments over but there’s already a procedure in place to accomplish that which isn’t too difficult at all.
The state of Texas is in the process of updating the official Texas template anyway and so HG will be having to make those changes as well so it might make more sense just to wait until that is done before going through the trouble.0
