Photos not converting
When downloading a report from the cloud I am getting a message "Some original photos could not be converted". This has happened on more thane one report now. Some images do convert. I use the same app called Open Camera for years now and this is a new problem. I can't seem to recover these photos anywhere on my android phone so it appears the images are gone! As you can imagine this is very frustrating rendering some of my inspection items useless.

Hello,
I am not sure why this is happening but it does mean those images are being corrupted somehow. If you are using OpenCamera that probably means you are on an older version of Android since Android 11 no longer allows third party cameras inside other applications. There has never been a single reason why this could happen but some common things could be: running out of storage space, leaving HomeGauge companion in the background to take calls or between apps, or interrupting an auto-save. One thing to check before finishing a report on the companion would be to save the report manually and then quickly check photos by going to the Summary, then make sure in the 3 dot menu you have Show Any Item with Photo. This way you can see if any photos appear corrupted in the report before transferring. My guess is they are corrupted on the device before even transferring. If you have steps to reproduce the issue it will help us track down any bugs but it may not help if you are on an older version of HomeGauge Companion. If you are running out of space in your HomeGauge folder then deleting old reports could help as well.
