Can I delete a report in HG desktop and restore from the cloud?

The issue is the template changes.  I created a new template for commercial use.  Multi-building.  I used it the first day and found that one type of inspection had no place to add comments from the HG Companion.  So I came back to the office at the end of the day (but not the end of the inspection) and attempted to add a place for comments to that type.  I did, and saved, but the changes did not "stick".  I tired a second time, but now it says I can't make changes to the template because the template has been changed.

So... I'm thinking I can just delete the report on my PC and then d/l it from the cloud and then I can change the template?

    True?

    Hi Daniel.

Yes.  First, make sure to send your report from your companion to the cloud.  In your comment, it was not clear if you took this important step.  On your PC go to HG Services-->Get Report from Cloud, and select the report you want to download.  You'll get a prompt asking you if you want to make a copy or overwrite the existing report on your PC.  This choice is up to you.  If you choose to overwrite, then the software simply replaces the report with the one from the cloud.   You don't actually have to delete it, the software will do that for you.

If the template has been locked out of editing but you still need to make a change in order to complete the open report, you can go to the top left corner of the screen, click file-->Save Template As-->give it a unique name and click Save.  After that, you will be able to change the template.  Any changes that you make while in this report, in that template with the new name, will stick to that newly named template.  The old template name will exist in your list of templates, but will not include this change.

Please don't hesitate to give a call in to support if you need further clarification or are still having trouble getting the template change to stick.
