Release Notes 7/12/2022 - Web Writer Browser
What’s new?
Now you can complete a Web Writer inspection using your own modified Inspection template! You can add, edit, hide, or remove Comments, Descriptions, Disclaimers, or Items from your template. This means any new inspection created after your change is made will better reflect the types of inspections you complete.
Feature overview video: HomeGauge Report Writer - Inspection Templates feature - 12 July 2022
How does it work?
In addition to your existing Library, you now have a Templates option.
Your Library is the catalog of ALL the item types and their associated Comments, Descriptions, and Disclaimers. Comments, Descriptions, and Disclaimers for each item type can be customized from your library.
Templates allows you to customize the default view in the inspection. Items can be added, names can be edited, and unwanted Items can be deleted. Comments, Descriptions, and Disclaimers can be hidden if they don’t apply to the current template, but you want to keep them around just in case. Deleted items will remain in the library but can be added back during an inspection as needed.
Where are we heading?
The Templates option will expand to become a Templates library. We are starting everyone up with a single, default template but we plan to allow you to maintain multiple templates in the future.
