Release Notes 10/19/2022 - Web Writer iOS 1.5.4

This is a significant update that brings the iOS version up to speed with the version accessed via a browser. Along with the changes below, this update contains general stability and performance improvements.

Login

• Added the ability to show/hide password while logging in

• Data is synced upon login

Library View

• The Library view is now accessible from the left-hand menu

  • Access your comments, disclaimers and descriptions by clicking the icons to the right of the item name

Inspections View

• You can now export photos from an inspection by clicking the ⋮ icon
  

Inspection Overview

• You can now add photos to the Home Tour section while editing an inspection
  

Locations View

• A new Locations view has been added to inspections. In this view, items are displayed by location rather than by system. From this view you can:

  • Show/Hide items with a status of N/A

    

  • Create new locations

  • Create new items within a location

  • Assign an existing item to a location

  • Edit location names

  • Duplicate locations

  • Delete locations

  • Locations are ordered based on template

  • Item status selection is now a drop down menu to reduce taps

System View

• System disclaimers are ordered based on template

• Systems are ordered based on template

• Show/Hide items with a status of N/A

• Locations assigned to items are now displayed in this view

• Item status selection is now a drop down menu to reduce taps

• Locations can be changed when editing an item

Item Detail View

• Locations assigned to the item are now displayed under the item name

• Available Item Disclaimers are now filtered by the template selected for the inspection

• Available Item Comments are now filtered by the template selected for the inspection

• Available Item Descriptions are now filtered by the template selected for the inspection

• Item status selection is now a drop down menu to reduce taps

• Photos

  • Crop / Rotate photos is now available in-app

  • Improvements to image editing workflow

About

• The About option has been moved further up in the left menu

  

• A new Help tab has been added which provides the following utilities:

  • Clear Data. This will clear all data from your device. We recommend only using this if instructed to do so by HomeGauge Support

    

  • Backups. Here you can restore a backup, delete individual backups, or clear all backups

• A new Photos tab has been added which allows you to:

  • See all photos currently stored in the app

  • Transfer individual photos to your device’s Photos library

How do I get the update?

1. Sync any inspections you are current working on.

2. Open the App Store.

3. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.

4. Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
