HomeGauge Payments: Quick Charge

Updated over a week ago

IMPORTANT! The preferred method of taking payments is using Invoicing on your HomeGauge Inspector Dashboard. To learn how to create invoices on your dashboard, visit Inspector Dashboard: Create and Manage Invoices. As such, the Quick Charge feature is disabled by default.

If you would like to use the Quick Charge feature from the HomeGauge Payments Portal, contact HomeGauge Support to have it enabled.

Note: You do need the credit card information handy to complete a Quick Charge, so a call to your client is needed. If they are onsite, you can access HomeGauge Payments Dashboard from the browser application on your smartphone.

Using Quick Charge

1. Log into the HomeGauge Payments dashboard: https://payments.homegauge.com/login

2. Fill out the fields in the Quick Charge Box. You do not need to adjust the drop-down selection for Sale or Create New Payment Method (leave as is).

3. Click Process Payment.

Warning: Using Quick Charge will not make any changes to a related invoice on the Inspector Dashboard. If you require payment to release the report documents, please take payment on the dashboard instead. For Instructions on taking payments from your dashboard visit this article: Inspector Dashboard: Processing Payments Manually.

If you have already taken payment for an invoice and need to mark it as paid, follow the instructions to mark the existing invoice as paid offline: Inspector Dashboard: Processing Payments Manually.
