Import ISN Appointments and Contacts
This feature is intended for inspectors who are new to HomeGauge and previously used ISN to manage appointments. This will allow you to import your appointments from ISN into the HomeGauge Appointments Calendar if you plan on using HomeGauge Appointments instead of ISN for appointment management. See our article on Switching from ISN to HomeGauge Appointments for more information. If you plan to continue using the ISN integration for appointments, do not import your appointments.
WARNING! This feature is only designed to be used once. Importing the same appointments multiple times WILL cause issues.
Once you have imported your Appointments from ISN, you can turn off the ISN integration and you will find your appointments on the HomeGauge Appointment Calendar by going to Appointments -> Calendar from the left side of the Dashboard.
Start reports from ISN
Once your ISN Integration is enabled, ISN appointments will automatically be sent to your Inspector Dashboard. This allows our report writer to access the ISN Appointment information. To start a report, visit the article for the report writer you use:
Upload Report to ISN
It is strongly advised to refrain from uploading an HTML report to ISN, even though they have instructions. The only way to upload an HTML format report to ISN is to make the report public. Here is why we advise against public reports:
Anyone with that link can view the report. There is no control over who can access the report, which could compromise customer information and violate the seller's privacy.
The report is physically located on HomeGauge, not uploaded to ISN. Inspector's Online Services cancellation would make the report unavailable for public viewing.
You will not be able to track who has viewed the report.
This direct link to the public report will not work with other features of the Online services like Create Repair List, Signing Inspection Agreements, Payments, or Business Insights.
Here are instructions for creating a PDF report to upload to ISN for the report writer you use:
Once you have a PDF of the report, follow ISN's instructions for uploading reports.
Troubleshooting Appointments Not Downloading
If you encounter issues with appointment downloads from ISN, follow these steps:
Re-enter your ISN access keys by deleting and re-entering the information.
Ensure you have no more than 5 active footprints and no special characters in appointment fields.
Clear your footprints and attempt the download again. Refer to ISN's how-to article for guidance.
If problems persist, reach out to HomeGauge support.
