Troubleshooting: Desktop Report Writer Error Messages

This article will guide you to finding the cause of the error message you may be receiving while using HomeGauge Desktop Software.

General Crash (Bug Splat)

This message will appear after the Software encounters a failure that resulted in a crash (forced shutdown of the Software). This is a general error and it could be caused by many different factors.

We recommend providing any information you can about what you were doing when the crash occurred and then clicking Send Error Report. This will provide our developers with a log of the crash which will help us improve the software in future versions.

If you continue to experience crashes, contact HomeGauge support and we will work with you to determine what is causing the crash.
