All help and support links throughout the Desktop application have been updated to direct you to our new support center.

Updated Links Include:

  • Help Center - Main support center access from the Help menu

  • Work Scope Feature Help - Updated documentation for the Work Scope feature

  • Merge Fields Help - Guide for using merge fields in your reports

  • Data Folder Location Help - Instructions for locating and changing your data folder

  • Release Notes - Direct access to the latest software change logs after updates

Updated: Backup Reminder Notification

What's Changed:

The backup reminder notification has been updated with more explicit instructions and direct links to helpful articles:

  • Learn what's included in your HG User Settings backup

  • See how to back up and transfer reports separately

  • Get help restoring from a backup

The reminder will continue to appear every 14 days unless you choose to permanently dismiss it.

Impact:

All help documentation links now point directly to our updated support center for faster, more reliable access to help resources.


Bug Fixes

Find First Unanswered Hotkey Crash

Issue Resolved:

Fixed a crash that could occur when pressing Ctrl+F while editing an Inspection Item comment.

What was Fixed:

  • The Ctrl+F keyboard shortcut (Find First Unanswered) now works reliably when used in the comment editor

  • Improved stability of keyboard shortcuts including Ctrl+F, F3, Ctrl+U, Ctrl+B, and F6 when working in comment fields

  • Enhanced the reliability of cut, copy, and paste toolbar button states when editing comments

Impact:

You can now safely use keyboard shortcuts while editing comments without experiencing unexpected crashes.

Report Merge Crash

Issue Resolved:

Fixed a crash that could occur when merging reports while viewing the Customer Info panel.

What was Fixed:

  • Improved stability when merging reports with different panels active (Customer Info, Report Info, General, Miscellaneous, Inspection Items, etc.)

  • Enhanced the reliability of the Report Progress indicator on the status bar after completing a merge

  • Better handling of status bar updates during report operations

Impact:

Report merging is now more stable regardless of which panel you have open, and the status bar will update correctly after merge operations complete.
