Download HomeGauge Companion

You can get the HomeGauge Companion at the Google Play Store.

The HomeGauge Android Companion is only available in the Google Play Store on Android version 10 or later. Since earlier versions of Android do not support the latest secure protocols, we recommend that all users upgrade their Android to at least version 10. Most phones produced since 2019 already have Android version 10 or are compatible. Please back up your data and check with your carrier and manufacturer for instructions on upgrading your software.

Recommended Photo and Video Settings

We suggest you adjust the photo size in the app to control your report file size better. Big pictures = big file size = trouble sending reports by Cloud. Built-in camera apps do not allow image resolution to be adjusted, so we recommend free apps that work.

When you create a report on the HG Companion, you need to lower the photo and video resolution to prevent going over the cloud transfer limit of 600MB.

File Too Big to Transfer

If you used higher resolution settings and now have a report that is too large to transfer and has no photos or videos you can remove, you can always manually transfer it. There is no way to increase the 600MB transfer limit, so in this instance, manually transferring will be your best option. Transferring a Report
