Troubleshooting: Login and Access Issues

Updated over a month ago

Would you like some help logging into your HomeGauge account? Fret not; login issues can happen to anyone, and there are several simple solutions to get you back on track. In this article, we will walk you through the troubleshooting steps to resolve login problems and how to recover your username and password. Also, we'll address a common issue related to enabling cookies, which might be hindering your login attempts.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

  1. Double-check Your Credentials:
The first step is to ensure you enter your username and password correctly. Pay close attention to avoid typos, especially if you are copying and pasting the information. Sometimes, copying from other sources can inadvertently include extra spaces that cause login failures.

  2. Verify the Correct Account:
If you happen to have multiple HomeGauge accounts, please make sure you use the credentials for the account you intend to access. Often, login troubles arise from attempting to log in with the wrong account, leading to confusion and frustration.

  3. Clear Auto-Fill Data:
Your internet browser might automatically fill in login information from other HomeGauge accounts or incorrect data from previous login attempts. To prevent this, you can disable auto-fill for login fields or clear any outdated information in your browser's settings.

  4. Try Another Browser:
Specific login issues may be browser-specific. If you have problems with your current browser, you can log in using a different one, such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. This can help determine whether the browser settings or extensions are problematic.
