Troubleshooting: Login and Access Issues

Having trouble logging into your HomeGauge account? This guide walks you through common login problems and how to fix them, including resetting your password and enabling cookies in your browser.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Check Your Login Credentials

Before trying other solutions, verify your login information:

  1. Check for typos - Make sure your username and password are entered correctly

  2. Avoid extra spaces - If copying and pasting, check that no extra spaces were included

  3. Verify the correct account - If you have multiple HomeGauge accounts, confirm you're using the right username and password for the account you want to access

Tip: If you have multiple accounts, try logging into one account per browser or use different browser profiles to prevent confusion.

Clear Browser Auto-Fill Data

Your browser may be automatically filling in incorrect login information from previous attempts or other accounts.

To fix this:

  • Disable auto-fill for the login fields in your browser settings

  • Clear any saved login data for HomeGauge

  • Manually type your username and password instead of using auto-fill

Try a Different Browser

Some login issues are specific to certain browsers or browser extensions. If you're having problems:

  1. Try logging in with a different browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari)

  2. This helps identify if the issue is with your current browser's settings or extensions

Reset Your Password

If you've forgotten your password or can't log in after checking the steps above:
