Logging In to Your Customer Dashboard
When your inspection report is ready to view, you will receive an email from your inspector with your login credentials to access the HomeGauge Dashboard. For more detailed information about the features the dashboard provides, check out Customer Dashboard: Understanding the User Interface.
Finding Your Username and Password
Your unique username and password are contained in the body of the email you received when your inspection documents became ready to view.
Step 1: Check your email for the notification from your inspector
The email will contain:
Your unique username
Your temporary password (or a link to reset your password)
A link to log in to your Customer Dashboard
Note: If your HomeGauge account is new, you will receive a system generated password so that you can log in for the first time.
If you are a returning user, we will not display your password in the email. If you no longer remember it, you will need to click the link to Reset your Password.
Step 2: Click the login link in the email or visit https://account.homegauge.com
Step 3: Enter your username in the Username field
Step 4: Enter your password in the Password field
Step 5: Click Sign In
Login Welcome Screen
If this is your first time logging in to your Customer Dashboard or it has been a while since you last logged in, you will see a "Welcome to Your HomeGauge Account" window with information about your dashboard features.

Accessing Your Inspection Documents
Your inspection report documents are stored in report folders to keep everything organized. Each report folder displays:
An image of the inspected property
Your inspector's logo (centered)
Details about the property address
The date the report was uploaded
Opening a Report Folder to view Documents
Find the report folder for the property you want to view
Report folders show the property address and upload date.
Click Inspection Details on the report folder you want to access
If You Don't See Any Reports
If no documents are listed when you click Inspection Details, your documents may not be ready yet. You should contact your inspector to check on the status if you believe documents should be available to you.
Note: You will likely need to sign the inspector's agreement and/or pay for your inspection before you can view your report.
Signing Your Inspection Agreement
Some inspectors require customers to sign an inspection agreement before viewing the report. If your inspector requires a signature, you will see a centered box that says "Signature Needed" with an orange Sign Now button.
Click the orange Sign Now button
Review the inspection agreement terms
Sign the agreement electronically buy selecting the Agree checkbox, then typing your full name.

Paying for Your Inspection
Most inspectors require payment before you can access your inspection report. If your inspector requires payment, you will see a second step in the centered box that says "Payment Due."
If your inspector accepts payments through HomeGauge, you can click the orange Pay Now button to pay for the report securely online.
Click the orange Pay Now button
Enter your payment information
Complete the payment process

If your inspector does not accept payments through HomeGauge, you may see a note that says, "Please contact your inspector to make a payment." Contact your inspector directly to arrange payment using their preferred method.
Viewing Your Inspection Report
Once you have completed any required signature and payment steps (or if your inspector does not require them), you can view your inspection report.
Accessing the Report
Look for the property photo with an orange View Report button in the top right.
If you see the View Report button, your report is ready to view.
Click the orange View Report button to access your inspection report.
Accessing Additional Documents
Other documents related to your inspection, including the main inspection report, are available below the Reports section. In many cases, you will have one main document called "Inspection Report," but your inspector may have included additional documents such as:
Supplemental reports
Thermal imaging reports
Radon test results
Other inspection-related documents
Scroll down to the Reports section
Click the corresponding link for the document you want to view.

Creating a Create Request List (CRL)
The Create Request List feature allows you to select items from your inspection report to create a list of repair requests for the property seller or for your own records.
After you view your inspection report for the first time, you will see a large charcoal grey box on the screen describing the Create Request List feature.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I log in to view my inspection report?
You can log in to view your inspection report by visiting https://account.homegauge.com and entering the username and password provided in the email you received from your inspector when your report became ready to view.
I didn't receive an email with my login information. What should I do?
If you did not receive an email with your login information, check your spam or junk email folder first. If you still cannot find the email, contact your inspector directly to request they resend your login credentials or verify they have uploaded your report.
Do I have to pay to view my inspection report?
Whether you need to pay to view your inspection report depends on your inspector's requirements. Some inspectors require payment before you can access the report, while others may have already collected payment at the time of inspection. If payment is required, you will see a "Payment Due" message when you try to access your report.
Can I share my inspection report with someone else?

What is a Create Request List?
A Create Request List is a feature that allows you to select specific items from your inspection report to create a list of repair requests. This is useful for negotiating repairs with the property seller or keeping track of maintenance items. You can access this feature after viewing your inspection report for the first time.
My inspector hasn't uploaded my report yet. When will it be available?
The timing of when your inspection report becomes available depends on your inspector. Most inspectors upload reports within 24-48 hours after completing the inspection, but timing may vary. Contact your inspector directly if you have questions about when your report will be ready.
Can I change my username and password?
