When a report is delivered, an email is sent to the buyer to access it. When they click that link and log in, they will be directed to a page with their report and any other ancillary reports you may have attached, like mold or radon reports. This page is called the Buyer's Dashboard.
Benefits of Delivering Online:
Not only is the buyer's dashboard a place for them to access their reports, but it also ensures that your agreement gets signed and, most importantly, you get paid. You'll also have this information conveniently stored on your dashboard should you ever need it.
HomeGauge's upload service provides you with several marketing benefits. By quickly seeing who has viewed the report, you can follow up with clients to ensure they've received it. When clients and real estate professionals come to your website to pick up the report, it helps to brand your company's name and website. This builds trust and credibility in your brand.
Moreover, hosting your reports on your website increases your website traffic and search engine ranking. By storing your clients' reports, you can increase agent loyalty, as they can access their reports from any computer at any time. HomeGauge tracks all activities related to the report, including when it was uploaded, sent, picked up, forwarded, and viewed.
But wait, there's more! Delivering your report via the buyer's dashboard is also an excellent way for home buyers to further the home purchase process with our patent-pending Create Request List (CRL) feature to help them create a repair request list for issues they would like the seller to resolve. It's a time saver that buyers and agents can appreciate without additional work for you!
Benefits of the new buyer dashboard include:
- Modern, intuitive user interface
- Time and date stamp of everyone that has opened the report
- The ability for buyer and agent to come to your website to pick up their report
- Agents can access all of their current and past reports in one place
HomeGauge Payments
HomeGauge Payments is a payment processing solution that integrates seamlessly with the HomeGauge dashboard. It offers a variety of benefits, including the ability to track paid or unpaid invoices, no monthly gateway costs, and very competitive rates. Some Inspectors even save over $100/month when switching from their previous processor. Together with HomeGauge Services, HG Payments provides your customer with a single location where they will sign your agreement, pay for their inspection, and view their report. It will also lock the report document until they have paid you for your invoice. This will streamline the experience for your clients so they can navigate documents quickly and get right to what they want to see, their report!
I deliver my reports as PDFs; can I still do that?
Yes. However, by uploading your reports to the dashboard, you can deliver an online report that can still easily be saved as a PDF. That way, you and your buyers can take advantage of all the dashboard offers. It also eliminates issues with the email being undelivered because the file is too large.
What is the home-buying experience?
With this update to the buyer's dashboard, your buyers can easily access the inspection reports and generate a repair request list. The interface is more modern and intuitive for users creating a pleasant and productive environment for them to manage their inspections.
The home-buying experience is simple:
- Once you finish the report, you will upload it to your dashboard and notify the parties receiving it.
- The home buyer then gets an email, configured and customized by you, with a link to access the report. When the buyer clicks that link, they are directed to log in.
- After logging in, the dashboard prompts them to sign the agreement and pay the invoice before viewing the report.
- Voila! – The report is presented with options to quickly create a repair request list for the agent or seller.

Do my buyers and agents still need to log in?
At the current time, they do. We look forward to simplifying this process in the future. Stay tuned for updates as development progresses!
What should I tell my real estate agents?
While the realtor's experience has stayed the same, we have created an email template and a brochure you can give to your agents to inform them of the change for the buyer. Click here for access to this marketing material.
Please note that this feature is currently only available to US companies.
